Official Announcement: ...I'd like to welcome you to the inaugural DoA4 "Experimental Playground Challenge". This FREE tournament is part of a series of many mini-events that we have planned to run throughout 2008 in addition to our regular seasonal events. We hope you and your team will participate and enjoy these mini-events and we look forward to your feedback.
The Experimental Playground Challenge features $500.00 in cash prize money to be paid out to the top three (3) competitors as determined by the tournament outcome.
Prize Breakout:
1st Place: $250.00
2nd Place: $150.00
3rd Place: $100.00
How To Register:
All players will need to create a personal CEVO user account to participate in CEVO events. If you do not already have one, click "register now" under the CEVO Members section of the website and follow the instructions.
Once you have created your account, you will also need to add your XBOX Live GamerTag to our system for DoA4. To do this, login to your personal user account, then click on "my account"->"unique game IDs" and enter your GamerTag into the box next to Dead or Alive 4.
In order to join this event, you must create a DoA4 "Team". To do this, login to your personal user account, then go to "teams"->"create a team" (or click "Create a Team" on the main account page). Follow the steps to set up your DoA4 "Team".

NOTE: Players will be split up into 16 slot brackets with the top 4 teams from each bracket advancing into the double elimination grand finals. Brackets will be sorted by region to the best of our ability, and seedings will be random. Brackets, seeds, and schedules will be released on Sunday, June 1st, 2008.

Tournament Rules:
- 64 Maximum participants
- Players will be given a specific hour of the day to complete their match. If a player fails to play their match when that time passes then, unless they have previously reported to an admin with a reason why they won't able to play then, they will be DQ'ed and their opponent will move on to the next round. If both players haven't played their match and have not given any reasons why they won't be able to play it prior to the time they are supposed to play by then both opponents will be DQ'ed and whoever they would've had to have played upon advancing will receive a bye.
- Top four (4) participants in each group will advance to the championship bracket.
- Players must both report the results of the match (whether they won or loss) for either player to advance. If one player reports something different than another player a referee will be called in and the two players will be forced to play a rematch regardless of what happened previously.
- Players may only reselect a character if they have lost, however the player who has won must keep the same character.
- Specific stages will be selected for each round of the bracket.
Example:
All matches in Round 1 of the bracket will be played on Seaside Market.
In the next round of the bracket all matches will be played on Gambler's Paradise.
