As the CGS international competition continues, this past night Birningham Salvo took on Mexcio City Furia while Carolina Core went up against Wuhan Dragon. The Core vs. Dragon matchup proved to not be much of one at all. US champions Core proved themselves a powerhouse sweeping Wuhan in every single match. In fact the 10-8 CSS win for the Core proved to be the only matchup even close as Core won DoA:F 5-1, FIFA 08 3-1, Forza 6-1, and DoA:M 5-1. The next matchup was a bit more exciting as the Salvo took on Furia in a back and forth duel. The match kicked off with a dominating come from behind win by Salvo's Messy 5-2 in DoA:M, but Furia did their best in FIFA holding out to get a 1-0 victory. After a crushing 6-1 win by Salvo Furia seemed to be in heavy trouble being down 11-4 at the half. Up next was CSS and Furia had upset on the mind taking it down with a huge 6-12 win bringing the total score to 17-16 in favor of Salvo. A close battle followed in DoA:F but Salvo held on to an early 4-2 lead and closed out the round 5-3 and the match 22-19.
