Official Announcement: The CGS 2008 World of Warcraft Arena Tournament has come to a close, with detailed coverage by djWheat and the legendary Leeroy Jenkins. On the European side, Nihilum Arena sped to a quick victory, winning three straight rounds over aAa Agita.
The North America portion of the competition was not as quickly resolved. Frag Dominant Duelists won the first two rounds and then fell to MoB Gaming in the third and fourth. The tension elevated into the fifth round, and the victory finally went to Frag Dominant Duelists.
The final match was a meeting of Nihilum Arena and Frag Dominant Duelists. When all the damage was done, Nihilum Arena was crowned the 2008 3v3 World of Warcraft Champion team, and will be awarded $25,000.
Frag Dominant Duelists will receive $12,500 and the two remaining teams will each get $6,250.
