"At the Games Convention, which is going to take place at Leipzig trade fair in about one month, the greatest achievements within eSports since the last award are going to be honored. The winners will be determined by the eSports Award Academy. With the nominations of the fifth eSports Awards we have now reached the final phase. On 23rd of August at 8 pm CET the new winners within the eight categories are to be honored." The two categories of which users can vote for are Best eSports Coverage and eSports Game of the Year. The other six categories of which a select committee will vote upon are eSports Player of the Year, eSports Team of the Year, Best Counter-Strike Player, Best Warcraft 3 Player, Newcomer / Breakthrough of the Year, and Scene Journalist Award.
