The MaxLan 2008 event has been announced, featuring a whopping 30,000Euro prize spread throughout all of its tournaments. The primary tournaments include Call of Duty 4, Counter-Strike: Source, and Day of Defeat: Source. Seconday tournaments will feature Counter-Strike 1.6, Quake 3, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. The event will take place November 1st and 2nd at the Centre des Congres in Epinal, France. The LAN gives gamers a decent scale, high paying, competition outside the ESWC which is very important for the growth of the French gaming community.
