After competitions ran well into the evening, the WCG 2008 Holiday Heroes Gears of War 2 competition is now complete! Making it through the qualifying rounds RAW TALENT, The Business, R3ZILI3NT, and FragDominant Phenom put up tough competition against the invited pros of PMS Clan, MoB Gaming, MoB Deep, and vVv Destiny. In fact PMS Clan, MoB Gaming, and MoB Deep were all sent to the lower brackets in the very first round! Only MoB Gaming was able to get out of the lower brackets first round, but didn't get too much farther after another win against R3ZILI3NT, they were taken down by vVv Destiny. In the end it was vVv Destiny representing the invites vs. The Business in the grand finals matchup. The best of the 3 format went well for Business taking the first map 5-2, but vVv bounced back big with a 5-3 win on map two sending us to the crucial map 3. Ultimately The Business stepped up when necessary and took match 5-2, and earned their big victory! Videos of the event will be rolled out in upcoming days so be sure to keep an eye out!
