The weekend long CGS Combine event has now wrapped up their Counter-Strike Source competition with 3D taking the #1 spot. Team3D cruised through the upper brackets of the tournament beating teams Jax Money Crew, zEx, Devastation, and Evil Geniuses. Jax Money Crew was sent to the lower brackets in the upper bracket finals by 3D, but battled their way back into the championship match where they came up just short. Well known gaming teams like Pandemic, Complexity, and Hyper! came up much shorter than expected - each being knocked out in the 1st or 2nd round of the lower brackets. Check-Six, who was sent to the lower brackets in the first round, looked to be on their way to the championship rounds after winning 4 straight but met their match in Evil Geniuses - who went on to lose against Jax Money Crew for a shot at the championship.


The CGS Combine is still far from over with the PGR, FIFA, and DoA teams still duking it out to determine who will win this combine competition. The following are the teams/competitors still in the running:
