Los Angeles compLexity, one of the 6 North American Championship Gaming Series franchises, has conducted an interview with Susanne Sundstrom, the mother of Swedish professional gamer Marcus "zet" Sundstrom. The interview sheds light on one parents' thought process as her child became a professional gamer. Topics covered include family information, how her child got into gaming, her opinions about gaming before and after he became a professional gamer, some embarrassing stories and much more. Here is an excerpt from the interview:
"...I rushed into the room and found Marcus crying with eyes brimming with tears, just totally tearful. He shouted, "They die! They die! Everybooooody dies!" I saw that the lemmings kept falling down from a rock and it would shout, "Oh no! Oh no!" Poor little thing, he thought he was responsible for the lemming's life. He just couldn't cope with being responsible for that, so he cried. I turned the computer off and started to kiss and hug him, explaining that the game wasn't real. This little story also shows just how Marcus is today; he has such a big heart and is very empathic - and we love him especially for that!"
