
QuakeCon, an annual LAN party and tournament celebrating all things id Software, has announced their schedule of events for this years episode of QuakeCon. Starting Thursday, August 2nd at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas gamers will be able to enjoy over 16 hours of planned events until the event's end Saturday, August 5th - and that's just not including the hours of fun you will have at the BYOC event, tournaments, parties and much more.
The scheduled events included:
The Sinus Show, a 2 hour live comedy show;
id Software's press conference & John Carmack Keynote, where id Software will make some "big" announcements followed by id's founder and technical director's special keynote;
Guitar Hero 2 Competition, where gamers will be able to rock out on the main stage for the preliminary rounds of the GH2 competition;
An idTech5 Preview, where id Software's lead level designer Matt Hooper will reveal the development tools for idTech 5 technology in this first-ever public demonstration;
And finally the QuakeCon 2007 Finals party, where gamers will be able to watch the grand finals in the gaming competitions which were held throughout the weekend.
